Job Description:
This role is a great opportunity to highlight the unique nature of the Sports Finance & Advisory team and attract candidates who are interested in building deep industry expertise while working in a highly collaborative environment.
As a dedicated specialty team, Sports Finance & Advisory operates with an integrated coverage model, providing financing solutions and strategic advice exclusively to organizations within the sports ecosystem. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop deep industry expertise, build relationships across the sports landscape, and work alongside experienced professionals focused on one of the most dynamic sectors in commercial banking.
This job is responsible for supporting credit underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients in partnership with a credit team. Key responsibilities include independently managing transactions or portfolios of limited to moderate complexity, completing and reviewing credit analysis, evaluating risks, and writing financial analysis. Job expectations include leading the process, ensuring timely and accurate analysis, and coaching teammates on credit requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity
- Independently works with Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements
- Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to team members to support the loan decision-making process
- Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback/coaching and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy procedure
- Has credit approval for certain credit actions
- Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree required
- 3 to 10 years of Commercial Banking (Middle Market, Large Corporate or Leveraged Finance) underwriting experience
- Proficiency in accounting principles, financial statement analysis and financial modeling
- Solid foundation in credit analysis, including evaluation of business risk, industry trends and capital structures
- Understanding of credit documentation, including term sheets, credit agreements and ancillary agreements (e.g. security, guarantee and intercreditor agreements)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple transactions and responsibilities at a time
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with the syndicated loan execution process
- Knowledge of derivative products and documentation (i.e. ISDA agreements)
- Capability to conduct negotiations with clients
